Finished chapter six. Deep Water stands at 31,027 words. That's about 103 pages in a paperback novel, to give you a sense of it. Long way to go, but Jeren and Aleas are on their way. The chapter titles, as they currently stand, are:
Chapter One: Metal Men
Chapter Two: Water Dream
Chapter Three: Wrath of the Patriarchs
Chapter Four: Among Merchants
Chapter Five: Lord-General
Chapter Six: Dark Passage
Chapter Seven: White Fire and Gray Teeth
And, yes, chapter seven is the first appearance of skinless dogs. Sorry it took so many chapters to get there, folks. You will be amply rewarded.
